This, one of my rare Religious Paintings, is a personal favourite from the Ink Mountain exhibition at the Esplanade, Theatres on the Bay, 18 January - 31 March 2019
One can see, feel the intersection of worlds that occurs when I stand at my painting table, open to messages from my subconscious to visitations from without, open to the lingering traces of culture and history, open to my spiritual and religious practice and belief.
"Start by doing what's necessary - then do what's possible. And suddenly you are doing the impossible" - St Francis of Assisi
What do I paint?
ask instead - how does he paint?
One sits pon the bullock cart of your belief and it turns into a car or a golden chariot.

Suddenly in the middle of the ordinary
one does the impossible
Heal the world
